FAQs
will there be network?
It’s advisable that you buy a new sim card as soon as you arrive to be able to make calls outside of a wi-fi network. If you can, buy your SIM card at the airport, it's easier.
You can choose from Vodacom* or Movitel network.
*All South African Vodacom customers can get international roaming and won’t not need to buy a new sim card, just make sure you get your roaming service activated at least 7 working days before you leave South Africa.
how much do things cost?
The cost of travelling to Mozambique is quite affordable. They are our neighbours right next door and the cost is equivalent to spending to a weekend away in Durban or Cape Town.
do we need to exchange our currency?
Mozambique accepts VISA Cards. It is advisable that once you arrive, you withdraw and carry some cash with you in case you need. There are Standard Bank and FNB ATMs in the country.
